Location: Titusville, FL

CereCore is seeking a Server Administrator to join our client's team on-site in Titusville, FL.

The Server Administrator is responsible for demonstrating , managing and maintaining an organization's server infrastructure. The Server Administrator ensures the servers are secure, reliable, and optimized to meet the organization's computing needs. Responsible for ESXi, MS DCE, storage arrays, fastenings, disaster planning.

Essential Functions:
  1. Install, configure, and maintain servers, including web servers, email servers, file servers, and database servers
  2. Plan and implement server backups and disaster recovery procedures
  3. Monitor server performance and capacity utilization, and troubleshoot server issues
  4. Configure and manage server security settings, including firewall rules and access control lists
  5. Perform regular system updates and patch management
  6. Create and maintain user accounts, groups, and permissions
  7. Manage storage devices and RAID arrays
  8. Monitor network traffic and performance
  9. Generate reports on server activity and performance
  10. Automation and scripting, Windows Domain Administration, Active Directory Administration.
  11. Track user account creation, changes, and deletions.
  12. Evaluating proposed software and Windows configuration functional and non-functional requirements for impact to existing information systems.
  13. Developing and implementing maintenance procedures, standard operating procedures, and security baselines.
  14. Providing analytical and technical security recommendations to other team members, oversight organizations, and stakeholders to help specify security requirements.
  15. Providing risk analysis for vulnerabilities, incidents, and change requests.
  16. Providing recommendations related to the design, development, and integration of automated software and hardware solutions.

KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS

Formal Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, computer engineering or a related field is required (A combination of experience and certifications may be considered)

Decision Making:

Varied: Supervision is present on an "as needed" basis to establish general objectives and to identify potential resources for assistance. Independent judgment is required to select and apply the most appropriate procedures to achieve desired results

Problem Solving:

Problems are not standard/routine, but are often similar to those seen before. Solutions can often be found by using methods chosen before in similar situations. Some judgment is required to interpret problems and select appropriate solutions based upon similar situations that have occurred in the past.

Planning Level:

One to Three Months: Plan events that are expected to occur in the next one to three months or on a quarterly basis.

Internal Contacts:

Requires regular contact within the department and ongoing contact with other departments, supplying, or gathering factual information.

External Contacts:

Requires occasional contact with outside agencies, other medical centers, patients, or visitors, supplying or gathering factual information.

Job-Related Knowledge:

Professional Skills: Skill levels require the employee to apply knowledge to practical issues and allows for development of new methods and procedures. Requires knowledge of theories and practices of a recognized professional field (e.g., nursing, finance, quality assurance, infection control, information support). This level of knowledge may be reserved for a position that requires a number of years on the job experience (e.g., entry level management). Frequently applies knowledge to practical issues and problems.

Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations:

Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, VMware Certified Advanced Professional - Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV 2020 (Design or Deploy) or newer) is required upon hire. VMWare Certified Design Expert - Data Center Virtualization (VCDX-DCV 2020 or newer), Training or Professional Experience and/or certifications in other Microsoft Server products, Dell, EMC are strongly preferred.

Special Skills:

Understanding of complex virtualization environment. Must be able to design, configure, and deploy physical and virtual servers and storage arrays. Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity best practices. Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, ability to handle multiple projects, ability to handle large customer needs/request volumes, familiarity with current generation Windows/Apple OS/devices, Microsoft 365 suite, experience with support desk platforms and project tracking tools.

Working Conditions/ Physical Effort:

Must be able to lift equipment such as computers and printers weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods. Healthcare environment with vaccination requirements. External and internal applicants, as well as position incumbents who become disabled, must be able to perform the essential job specific functions either unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation to be determined by the organization on a case by case basis.
