The Production Coordinator will be an excellent multitasker working on hardware appliances and will be the client advocate with all warehouse interactions for the Hardware Division servicing Small Kitchen Appliances.
Assists in handling order processing, and tracking of orders
Communicate daily with internal/external partners regarding production and delivery information.
Assist head of production with initial creation from sourcing, and manufacturing to finalized product.
Test samples, review/rewrite factory manuals, draft callouts for the packaging.
Daily communication with designers and salespeople
Review the vendor manual on what requirements have to be given to the factories.
Maintain and organize sample room and sample information records.
Submitting samples on time to the customer for approval.
Get familiarized and work with EDI requirements.
Assists in the shipping/logistic dept as he/she will monitor shipments, handles checking of shipping documentations from overseas and prepares shipping docs needed for local deliveries.
Assists in the accounting department with checking invoices/ PL from factories.
Submitting supplier's invoices on time to the accounting department for payment weekly.
Maintaining and updating the forecast chart
Report on status updates of ongoing projects and tasks.
Trouble-shoot challenges with realistic and creative solutions
Maintain, Document, and Implement efficient tracking strategies.
Perform related duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES
Language Proficiency: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Mandarin will be a plus
Preferred experience with electronics and small appliances
Proactive, Motivated, and Trainable
Experience using AIMS is a plus.
Experience with multinational trade and export is a plus.
A strong knowledge of U.S. Customs laws and procedures is a plus.
Experience with content, product & inventory management
Strong relationship management skills and negotiation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Ability to work autonomously and effective time management.
Travel Ability: Willing to travel to China and North American countries.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or equivalent, with wholesale imports or related experience; or an Associate's degree with 1 year of wholesale imports or related experience; or 2+ years in a wholesale imports or related role.
