Job Description:

Position Summary: The Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our plastic injection molding facility. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in plastic injection molding processes, as well as a strong background in growth strategies. This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive operational excellence, improve productivity, and ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Leadership & Management:
  • Lead and manage all aspects of the plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality, and safety.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve plant performance and achieve operational goals.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and teamwork among staff.
  1. Operational Excellence:
  • Oversee the plastic injection molding process, ensuring optimal machine performance and product quality.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective actions to address any deviations.
  1. Growth Strategies:
  • Identify areas of inefficiency and develop comprehensive Growth plans.
  • Execute Growth initiatives, including process improvements, cost reduction strategies, and workforce optimization.
  • Track and report progress on Growth efforts to senior management.
  1. Quality & Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain high standards of product quality and implement quality control measures.
  • Work closely with the quality assurance team to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  1. Budget & Resource Management:
  • Develop and manage the plant budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Allocate resources effectively to meet production targets and customer demands.
  • Oversee maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  1. Team Development:
  • Recruit, train, and develop plant personnel to build a high-performing team.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback and coaching to employees.
  • Promote a positive work environment and address any employee concerns promptly.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a plant management role within the plastic injection molding industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully turning around underperforming plants and driving operational improvements.
  • Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding processes, equipment, and materials.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems, develop effective solutions, and implement change.
  • Proficient in using ERP systems and other manufacturing software.
