Branch Manager

Summary The Branch Manager establishes presence in the service business within the assigned market, driving market share growth, achieving profitability targets, and maintaining high customer satisfaction. The role involves assessing local market conditions, identifying market segments, and allocating resources to meet market share, revenue, and profitability goals. Developing and maintaining relationships through community involvement, industry organizations, and networking with local leaders is essential.

Collaboration with other service organizations within our client is crucial for customer service and business optimization. The Branch Manager must communicate competitive positions and business needs to internal teams while adopting beneficial practices. Key internal relationships include:
  • Service Manager and Staff: Ensure superior customer service and maximize profits.
  • Director of Sales: Enhance revenues.
  • Regional Management Staff: Leverage economies of scale and share best practices.
  • Other Branch Managers: Exchange successful approaches and coordinate customer relationships.
  • Management and Staff: Implement strategy and share effective practices.

Job Functions and Duties
  • Financial Management: Responsible for branch profit and loss, including growth, profitability, forecasting accuracy, gross margin improvement, market share, cash flow, operating income, and safety performance.
  • Market Growth: Increase our client's market share and develop/execute business plans.
  • Resource Management: Manage branch assets to meet/exceed profitability goals.
  • Customer Engagement: Network with community leaders to secure and retain customers.
  • Account Management: Drive account management principles and maintain account plans.
  • Team Leadership: Foster a climate for high-quality, customer-focused service.
  • Branch Financial Oversight: Ensure financial management following our client's policies.
  • Collaborative Relationships: Build relationships to maximize performance and customer service.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Monitor and address satisfaction issues promptly.
  • Team Development: Lead and develop the branch team according to HR policies.
  • Management Team Participation: Provide branch performance information and collaborate on securing customers and delivering projects.
  • Ethical Management: Operate with integrity and comply with regulations.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years in HVAC service.
  • Undergraduate degree in Business or Engineering; MBA preferred.
  • B2B sales and operational experience in building automation and/or HVAC service.
  • Leadership experience with full P&L responsibility for portfolios over $5M in revenues.
