Your day as a Firm Accounting Director

If you are looking for a great opportunity to grow in the accounting and finance space, you have found the right place. The Firm Accounting Director reports to the Managing Partner and will manage the internal accounting/finance of Chortek.

High-level Overview of Responsibilities as a Firm Accounting Director

Leadership responsibilities- supervising accounting staff.

Directs and monitors firm-wide budgets.

Participates in strategic planning.

Manages company benefits, insurance, and payroll.

Manages all accounting aspects of the firm; A/P, A/R, reconciliations, month-end and year-end closings, etc.

Responsible for financial statements/reporting and provides financial statuses to Partners.

Integral part of firm growth from a financial aspect.

Accounting process improvement, which may include implementation of new software.

Experience:

Requires education generally equivalent to a bachelor's degree in accounting from a four-year college or university.

8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, along with leadership and executive experience required.

Experience with software implementations.

Strong financial analytical skills including cost control.

Qualifications:

Expert understanding of accounting and finance principles and general business processes knowledge (AP, AR, GL etc.)

Experience working with ERP software implementations/upgrades/support.

Technologically minded; familiar with a variety of accounting systems; experience with Quick Books, Practice, or Paychex a plus.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Proactively and effectively communicate information regarding status issues to team members.
