NOTES:
Not a developer, a decision maker and someone capable of guiding the team...they are getting away from custom development and going to 3rd party apps. Needs this person to understand how to leverage the 3rd party providers and must know the importance of the data and how to move it and access it. This person needs to have significant process manufacturing experience, ERP experience and legacy migration to ERP experience. Especially in Food and Beverage. Looking for someone with a combination of skills including leading technical/development teams. This role would have a team of 8-9 reporting into them, and will report directly to the CIO.
JD:
Ideally have experience working on Boomi or similar as all their ERP integrations run through it. This person will manage that layer and plan all designs and migrations. Moving away from home-grown applications to 3rd party
Requirements:
Ability to translate business needs into an executable development roadmap.
Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Experience building scalable, web-based platforms.
Excellent communication skills and ability to convey technical information clearly.
Experience with Power BI for data visualization and analytics is preferred.
Understanding and utilization of Version Control.
Responsibilities:
Lead and inspire a team of software developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Drive multiple initiatives using agile methodologies.
Provide comprehensive IT architecture and software development assessment, encompassing infrastructure, proprietary and third-party software, and existing resources.
Manage the development lifecycle of our in-house built applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, scope, and timelines.
Oversee, create, and implement software integration solutions with third-party ERP systems.
Implement and enforce best practices for code quality, testing, and documentation.
Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, promoting continuous learning and development.
Direct staff in solution development and participate hands-on as needed.
Continuously drive technical and process improvements.
Ability to prioritize team work through balancing both long and short-term objectives.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience (10+ years) in software/database development, with a focus on team leadership and project management.
Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and development best practices.
Knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain processes, especially best practices, is desired.
Previous experience in the food industry or related sectors is a plus.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture.
Familiarity with middleware platforms (e.g., Boomi).
Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools.
