Job Description: We are seeking a skilled L2 System Administrator to join our dynamic team at a leading MSP in Richmond, Virginia. As an L2 System Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients' IT infrastructures, ensuring their systems are operational, secure, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network and server-related issues.
Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as backups and system updates.
Monitor system performance and ensure reliability and uptime.
Collaborate with L1 support teams and escalate complex issues as necessary.
Document system configurations, changes, and upgrades.
Implement security measures to protect systems and data.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role (2+ years preferred).
Proficiency in Windows and Linux server environments.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
Hands-on experience with networking protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) are a plus.
