General Description: Responsible for the design of machines and component parts, project management of machine orders, and supporting sales, service, and purchasing in technical matters.
Reports To: Engineering Manager
Responsibilities:
Relate customer requirements to mechanical machine design specifications.
Design components and create detailed CAD drawings for assembly and manufacture.
Process jobs in an ERP software system.
Support Purchasing Manager with technical vendor information or issues.
Establish project task list and maintain on schedule.
Operate lab machine to test various materials, write reports, and relate results to design specifications.
Prepare required documentation during projects.
Assist in commissioning of machines onsite.
Support sales and service after project for spare parts, repairs, and troubleshooting.
Review engineering drawings for team members.
Apply ISO9001:2015 foundations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
0 to 5 years relevant experience.
Ability to interpret and create engineering drawings in CAD.
3D modeling proficiency.
CAD/CAM proficiency.
Dependability, planning, and organizational skills.
Knowledge of ISO9001 and relevant processes.
Proficient in PC and Microsoft Office.
Strong written and verbal communication, including technical writing.
Ability to run tests and operate briquetting equipment.
Willingness to travel to industrial environments, including internationally.
Proficiency in ERP system.
Experience in project management, machine design & assembly, and manufacturing methods.
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum Previous Experience:
0 to 5 years relevant experience.
