We are seeking a team member with tenacity to get the job done. We are a custom luxury home builder and have been in business for 16+ years. We are looking for individuals with the ability to anticipate, adapt and problem-solve in the fast-paced and ever-changing environment of custom home building.

We are looking for a full-time, in-office, Purchasing Coordinator. Monday through Friday 8:30 pm to 5 pm. Lubke offers benefits and paid time off.

The position will play a crucial role in the procurement process for the construction projects, ensuring timely acquisition of materials and services. Candidate must be able to manage details, problem solve, be a team player, and willing to learn and grow in the position. The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for processing orders and purchasing products accurately and efficiently. Experience with vendor relations, quality control of orders including documentation, signature and pricing a plus.

The Purchasing Coordinator duties will include:
  • Oversees purchasing schedule in Buildertrend to ensure purchase orders are issued timely.
  • Review requisition requests and create Purchase Orders for job site materials and labor.
  • Review client selections and create purchase orders based on selections.
  • Create ad hoc purchase orders as needed for Superintendents.
  • Coordinate delivery of materials. Check-in and review office deliveries.
  • Works closely with Estimator, Project Manager and Superintendents to coordinate deliveries, returns and exchanges.
  • Manages inventory for items ordered and stored at the office temporarily. Oversees turnover to the filed team.
  • Manages on-site supplies and office supplies.
  • Works closely with material suppliers on orders, lead times and returns.

Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but will accept High School diploma with construction industry experience.
  • Construction industry experience or project-based purchasing experience.
  • Experience with online project management software such as Buildertrend.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to maintain purchasing records.
  • Ability to move to and from different jobs and/or tasks frequently to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to lift to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to escalate concerns when appropriate.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
