Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Learning and Development Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about enhancing learning and development experiences through the use of cutting-edge technologies and instructional design principles. The Learning and Development Manager will play a pivotal role in creating engaging and effective learning content, leveraging their expertise in Learning Management Systems (LMS), instructional design, content creation, video editing/production, and e-learning tools.
Responsibilities:
Instructional Design: Design and develop innovative and interactive learning experiences that align with organizational goals and objectives. Utilize instructional design methodologies to create engaging learning materials.
Content Creation: Develop high-quality learning content across various formats including presentations, e-learning modules, videos, infographics, and interactive simulations.
Video Editing/Production: Produce and edit professional-quality videos for use in e-learning modules, training sessions, and other learning initiatives. Collaborate with subject matter experts to script, storyboard, and produce engaging video content.
Learning Management Systems (LMS): Administer and manage the organization's LMS, including course creation, user management, reporting, and troubleshooting technical issues. Ensure the LMS is optimized for user experience and accessibility.
E-Learning Tools: Evaluate, implement, and manage e-learning authoring tools, virtual classrooms, and other educational technologies to enhance the learning experience. Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in e-learning tools and technologies.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including subject matter experts, trainers, and other stakeholders to identify learning needs, develop solutions, and deliver effective training programs.
Evaluation and Improvement: Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of learning interventions through feedback, metrics, and assessments. Identify opportunities for improvement and optimization to enhance learning outcomes.
Training and Support: Provide training and support to internal stakeholders on the use of learning technologies, content creation tools, and instructional design principles.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Human Resources, Education, Multimedia Design, or related field or comparable relevant professional experience
Proven experience in instructional design, e-learning development, and content creation.
Experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Camtasia) and multimedia production tools.
Demonstrated grasp of a Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools (e.g., RISE, Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate).
Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Creative mindset with a passion for exploring innovative approaches to learning and development.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with learning analytics and data-driven decision-making.
Familiarity with SCORM and other e-learning standards.
Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines for online learning content.
Experience working in a corporate training environment or learning and development consultancy.
