We are a rapidly growing organization in the Morristown, NJ area. We are seeking to hire an Accounting Manager to join our team of progressive professionals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following responsibilities:
Job Responsibilities:
Prepare financial statements and assist with tax returns
Computation of 1031 exchanges
Maintain, analyze and reconcile all general ledger account transactions with schedules for fixed assets, receivables, accrued expenses, revenue and long-term debt
Supervise staff assuring monthly and daily deliverables are completed and recorded accurately and timely. Established and maintain period end close procedures.
Manage and lead all required business compliance reporting such as workers compensation audit, 401k compliance, annual reports, sales tax and assuring business insurance needs are met
Maintain and file all payroll tax filings and reconciliations
Handle all daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly accounting, preparing journal entries in accordance with GAAP
Compute 1031 like kind property exchange transactions and record all associated expenses including deprecation and maintaining amortization schedules
Maintain, analyze and reconcile bank accounts
File entity reports required by various states
Accounts payable operations
Payroll responsibilities
Manage Cash Flow Analysis
Job Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting - required
MBA or CPA - preferred
7+ years related Accounting experience
Experience in Real Estate and Entertainment industry a plus
