The Production Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the manufacturing process to ensure timely production and delivery of goods. You will work closely with various departments including production, inventory management, and logistics to create efficient schedules that meet production targets while minimizing costs and maximizing resources.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands, production goals, and inventory targets.
Analyze production data, including inventory levels, lead times, and production rates, to identify bottlenecks and optimize scheduling processes.
Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components required for production.
Implement and maintain scheduling software or tools to automate and streamline scheduling processes.
Generate reports and metrics to track production efficiency, adherence to schedule, and other key performance indicators.
Participate in regular meetings to provide updates on production schedules, identify challenges, and propose solutions for improvement.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain management, Industrial Engineering, Accounting, or a related field.
Minimum of two (2) years' work experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience in INFOR Products preferred
Data mining/analysis experienced preferred
Proficiency in using scheduling software or tools, such as ERP systems, MRP systems, or specialized scheduling applications.
Intermediate to expert knowledge of Excel (Xlookup, Pivot tables, sumif, etc.)
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
