ABOUT THE JOB

Infinium Spirits is a dynamic and fast-growing organization seeking an Accounts Payable (AP) Manager to join our team! This role oversees the daily accounting operations related to the company's accounts payable and chargeback processes and will report to the Director of Accounting.

THE DAY-TO-DAY
  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day accounts payable activities
  • Train, mentor, and develop the Accounts Payable Specialist direct reports
  • Work with the Director of Accounting to develop processes and procedures of the accounts payable function
  • Manage and assist the AP Specialists in analyzing, coding, and processing a high volume of PO and non-PO invoices. Ensure proper supporting documentation and 3-way matching. Confirm invoices have proper sales & use tax amount, if applicable.
  • Prepare adjusting entries as needed
  • Post AP batches once released for approval
  • Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices through various methods, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
  • Monitor invoices mailbox to ensure proper distribution/response for billbacks, vendor invoices, and prompt and accurate responses to customer and vendor queries
  • Review and approve a high volume of customer chargebacks
  • Manage the reconciliation of vendor accounts to vendor records. Research, communicate, and resolve discrepancies as needed.
  • Manage the reconciliation of customer accounts to customer chargeback records
  • Concur Expense Administration (adding/maintaining employee records and reviewing workflows) and reviewing approved expense reports as needed
  • Continia Administration (setting up/modifying approval workflows as needed)
  • Ensure the timely completion of month-end close activities related to accounts payable
  • Manage and monitor the AP Aging, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting
  • Work cross-functionally with various departments and other team members for accounts payable follow up, document clarification, coding, and new vendor setups.
  • Support the accounting team, interim and year-end audit requests, special projects, and ad hoc requests
  • Manage year-end 1099 reporting

AM I THE RIGHT FIT?

Experience:
  • Required
  1. A bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, or Accounting.
  2. 5+ years of high-volume Accounts Payable experience including 2+ years in a manager level position
  3. Experience working in high-volume ERP system(s)
  • Preferred
  1. Experience in Microsoft Business Central
  2. Experience in Continia
  3. Experience in Concur


Skills/Traits:
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and willingness to research and resolve accounting applications
  • Strong understanding of GL impact of common accounting transactions and how to adjust for errors
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including the creation and manipulation of Pivot tables, V-/H-/X-LOOKUP, IF-THEN, and other formulas
  • Exceptionally thorough and detail-oriented in executing tasks and responsibilities
  • Efficiently manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadline
  • Strong work ethic, adapting to challenges and consistently delivering optimal results
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Physical requirements:
  • Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards, as well as sit for long periods of time

Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $102,000.00 - 118,900.00. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
