JOB PURPOSE
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role will be involved with Financial Accounting, month end close and bank reconciliations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Involved with the monthly close process. Prepare journal entries, reconciliations and workpapers.
Assist in the preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements.
Run bank reconciliation process.
Assist with the processing of (re)insurance payments.
Assist with and coordinate with outside vendors on premium tax filings and payments.
Assist with the processing and reconciliation of all investment accounting transactions.
Support year-end audits.
Participate in process improvement and other ad hoc projects as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting of Finance required.
At least three years of relevant experience.
STAT Insurance experience, preferably with a Property and Casualty company.
Good understanding of data analysis and risk management.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
