As a financial services center, we offer financial planning, college planning, and retirement planning services completely free of charge. Plus, we work with more than 180 financial institutions that offer financial products such as mutual funds, IRAs, fixed & variable annuities, life insurance, long-term care, and more, to help our clients reach their financial goals on their way to financial freedom! BCFC is also an official IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) partner and Financial Education & Asset Building (FEAB) partner, providing free tax preparation services to moderate-to-low-income taxpayers and the elderly in our communities. At BCFC, we don't just say we help our communities, we actually do it!

Role Description

We are seeking qualified candidates who are interested in becoming an Independent Licensed Financial Professional at Burlington Community Financial Center, located in Burlington, MA. As an Independent Licensed Financial Professional, candidates will be responsible for providing financial education workshops and one-on-one consultations related to financial planning, college planning, and retirement planning. We do not require any past experience in the financial services industry, nor any college degree at all. We will fully educate & train qualified candidates and assist in getting them licensed in the State of Massachusetts, and any other states they would like to conduct business in. As a partner of the IRS (Internal Revenue Service), we will also train qualified candidates to become an IRS-certified VITA tax preparer. There is no required minimum number of hours that one must work in the office, however, as a commission-based role, one's success is directly dependent upon the amount of effort they put in each day. Candidates are responsible for managing their own schedule and appointments. They can choose to work with clients in our beautiful office, or they can work with their clients in the field or on Zoom. Candidates are expected to attend in-office meetings.

Qualifications

  • A college degree is not required.
  • An active securities or insurance producer license is not required. We will teach you, train you and assist you in passing your state license exam.
  • Experience in the financial services industry or insurance industry is not required.
  • Must be coachable.
  • Must be motivated and have a genuine desire to change your life and the lives of others.
  • Must be able to manage your own schedule.
  • Must have a positive attitude. Smiling and laughing is required.
  • Must love to travel and learn about different cultures.
  • You must have a valid Social Security number and be able to pass a background check.
