We are seeking a strong candidate to perform compendial testing for raw materials (chemicals) in support of a project.
Perform a variety of compendial methods utilizing bench chemistry and lab equipment such as HPLC, GC, AA, FTIR, UV, KF.
Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions
Knowledgeable of compendial methods and able to perform compendial testing in accordance with monographs, SOPs and cGMP guidelines. Minimal supervision required.
Experience with area specific laboratory instrumentation and wet chemistry.
Perform verification of data to ensure accuracy. Perform approval upon discretion of supervisor.
Assist with calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Utilize a range of electronic systems such as QMS, LIMS, CDS and document/equipment management software.
Resolve routine and more advanced problems by utilizing appropriate resources. Provide problem solving skills to support investigations.
Participate in protocols for procedural and instrumentation validations.
Train on and maintain knowledge of current regulatory requirements and relevant internal procedures.
Actively promote safety rules and awareness. Demonstrate good safety practices at all times including the appropriate use of protective equipment. Report and takes initiative to correct safety & environmental hazards.
Work individually and as a team with quality and attention to detail. Good communication skills both oral and written. Effectively and efficiently participate in assigned tasks in a quality manner.

Basic Qualifications
Requires a BS and typically 5 years of related experience; MS and 3 years; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Degree in a related scientific discipline (e.g. chemistry) and experience in the pharmaceutical industry, related GMP environment, or equivalent preferred.
Previous analytical chemistry including HPLC and GC experience preferred.
