The Sensory and Sample Coordinator will support all sales channels through effective, professional, and timely delivery of samples to current and prospective clients shipping from the Everett, WA Facility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee and ensure effectiveness of the sample program for the Everett production facility.
Manage all sample communication and act as liaison between Sales Team and cross-functional internal teams.
Submit sample requests to appropriate Customer Service and Product Development team members for processing.
Coordinate first run trial samples with Process and Quality Assurance teams.
Work with warehouse, culinary and QA to confirm all orders are pulled and ready to ship daily.
Maintain backup inventory and retention on designated storage pallets in Everett freezer for future shipments.
Execute daily sample shipments out of Everett, prepare shipping labels and any required paperwork, carefully packing samples and any requested inclusions, confirming pickup, and distributing tracking information requested.
Maintain and order packaging par inventory levels of all shipping materials.
Maintain Sample Request Form, adjusting for changes to product lines.
Clearly communicate any changes to Sample Terms & Conditions, alerting the team to changes in process, lead-times, or documentation requirements.
Track all samples and alert appropriate team members of any issues or delays to delivery, troubleshooting when necessary to solve critical delivery requirements.
Track sample costs, providing monthly reporting by Sales Director
Follow the company Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP’s) and safe working practices.
Retrieve sensory samples and heat for panel review daily.
Create Sensory documentation for the daily review of sensory samples.
Arrange sample collection of non-conforming products that are observed from the panel.
Maintain log of sensory details for trending and continuous improvement
Maintain test kitchen and work area in a clean and organized manner.
Required Skills:

Prior inventory management based on minimum and maximum levels.
Attention to time sensitive collection of samples.
Attention to time sensitivity of packaging and shipping products on time.
Works under close supervision and has little or no decision-making responsibility.
Position is not responsible for influencing the decisions or actions of others.
Position has little to no contact with customers.
Qualifications and Experience
Two years of related experience with respect to Quality Assurance
Good communication skills including computer, writing, and verbal
Ability to understand and verbally express ideas and instructions effectively
Ability to work effectively and efficiently with others
Ability to prioritize, follow instructions and follow-through to achieve results

Compensation: $22.00-$24.00/ hour (DOE)

SKILL REQUIRED
Associates degree, or equivalent experience required.
Requires one to three years of experience in the food industry
On-the-job training of 0-3 months
Experience working in temperature-controlled settings & perishable items
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work all scheduled shifts
Basic data entry and simple formatting of documents

Physical Demands/Efforts
Work requires occassional physical exertion including some lifting of objects weighing up to 40 pounds.

Work requires frequent visual effort for extended periods of time.
Work Environment and Hazards
Employee works in a manufacturing setting with frequent exposure to heat/cold, dust, noise or other factors that may require protective equipment and still pose a hazard.
This position has regular exposure to hazards that could result in injury and loss of time at work.
Travel is not required for this position.
