Training Solutions, an industry leader in commercial aviation training solutions, is looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager to support the Training Core Systems team.

As a Senior Technical Product Manager, you will have the opportunity to work with aviation, product professionals and positively affect the safety and operations of Boeing and that of our worldwide customers. In this high visibility position, you will interact with executives, managers, product management peers, product teams, supporting team personnel, and Subject Matter Experts. You will oversee products from concept to production and will lead multi-functional, geographically dispersed product teams.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Lead digital integration across Core business systems leading to Increased automation and improved quality output.
  • Drive the development efforts and ongoing management of the Interface Control System (ICS) application
  • Interacts with end users and stakeholders to define and clarify product and system requirements associated with proposed solutions
  • Works with Architects, and others to identify technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Identifies solutions that are on the cutting edge of technology
  • Develop detailed roadmaps to include feature development and releases
  • Identifies and estimates needs including technical resources, and other non-labor costs throughout the entire product design and development lifecycle
  • Collaborates with the product owner to document epics, capabilities, features, user stories, dependencies, and acceptance criteria. Develops detailed functional and user specifications as a basis for design
  • Contributes to the creation, maintenance and review of product documentation including product and system requirements, user manuals, training material, and release notes
  • Collaborates with product owners to develop and manage backlogs by translating product strategy, business needs, and requirements into detailed technical requirements, functional designs, and system specifications throughout the product design and development lifecycle
  • Liaises between stakeholders and teams to ensure a common understanding of requirements, expectations, activities, priorities, timeframes, technical tools, and changes as they may occur throughout the entire product design and development lifecycle
  • Collaborates across organizations to manage the successful completion of dependencies and the validation of dependencies with stakeholder teams
  • Oversees the work of product teams comprised of Product Owners, User Experience (UX) Designers, Architects, Business Intelligence Analysts, Engineers, Developers, and Software Testers to execute on a variety of activities to ensure all requirements are implemented and validated
  • Collaborates with a broad range of stakeholders including DevOps, release experts, sustainment teams, and deployment teams to enable the product deployment and sustainment lifecycle
  • Participates in Design Thinking and Scaled Agile rituals including PI planning, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint demos and others
  • Raises issues and risks to leaders and manages resolution of team-level risks, defects, and issues
  • Creates and communicates status reports


This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience collaborating across functions and organizations
  • 3+ years of experience developing and deploying digital software products and/or data services
  • 3+ years of experience leading projects or product teams
  • 3+ years of experience with the product design and development lifecycle
  • 3+ years of experience collaborating with end-users and/or customers for product development
  • Experience presenting and communicating ideas to key stakeholders across businesses.


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience with Program Management Best Practices
  • Familiarity with Boeing Customer training systems and digital ecosystems
  • 3+ years of experience with Agile or Scaled Agile Framework, product management, or related framework
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and team skills
  • Knowledge or experience in user-centered design
  • Demonstrated ability and track record of influencing across organizational boundaries
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO)
  • Familiarity with Clarity for software development


Typical Education/ Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+13 years' related work experience, 19 years' related work experience, etc.)

Relocation:

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Average Pay Summary: $161,500 - $218,500
