A role you will love


IPO Specialist position is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities related to the release of company and/or regulatory restrictions on securities that were 'Locked Up' at the closing of a company's Initial Public Offering (IPO). The incumbent will interface daily with Clients, Client's Counsel, Relationship Managers, and other Internal Partners.


The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Partner with Onboarding Operations Project Management team to understand IPO pipeline, client requested lock ups, special processing requirements and timing of the releases.
  • Partner with the Intermediaries to advise on legal requirements
  • Maintain a SharePoint site of the lock up release schedule and client/counsel contact information.
  • Generate impacted shareholder files to be utilized for the lock up release process.
  • Prepare sample document package for client and counsel.
  • Coordinate internal lock up release call with the relationship manager to review and discuss upcoming releases for their client.
  • Establish client call to review lock up release process, shareholder file requirements and required legal documentation.
  • Collect completed shareholder file that identifies accounts to have restrictions released and collect executed final legal documents as needed.

What will you bring to the role?

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Additionally, Knowledge of Financial Services 'securities' is preferred. Transactions involve the electronic, receipt and delivery of shares of stock that range from 1 share to millions of shares.
