Purpose of the Position:

Under the direction of the Student Union Dining Operations Manager, the incumbent has overall responsibilities in all facets of residential and retail dining to include: receiving, inventory control, delivery and storage.

  • Ability to read and write

  • Basic math skills

  • Knowledge of basic material handling

  • Knowledge of receiving, storage, equipment usage and maintenance

  • Good organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures

  • Ability to work in congested work areas and areas where wet processes are used

  • Ability to wear protective footwear

  • Ability to communicate with the university community

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects

  • Ability to report to work from 5 am to 2 pm, Monday - Friday and weekends as needed

  • Knowledge of food services operations to include refrigerator/freezer temperatures


Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Required :


Education:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.





Experience:

  • Experience working in a receiving/storage facility

  • Supervisory experience.

  • Experience working in a food service setting.

  • Experience working in a college/university setting.

  • Experience with inventory control.

  • Experience checking in deliveries to ensure contents match the order.

  • Experience inspecting contents to ensure they are undamaged.


Salary Information:

Starting at $31,720, Commensurate with Education and Experience
