Eskenazi Health serves as the public hospital division of the Health & Hospital Corporation of Marion County. Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 327-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus as well as at 10 Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis.

The Focus of Adult Addictions
The Adult Addiction team provides services to adults 18 & up with a primary diagnosis of substance use disorder and those with co-occurring disorders. We believe that recovery is 100% possible, and our goal is to partner with the client to help them reach their recovery goals. The Adult Addictions Clinic provides services from peer support, individual therapy, couples/family therapy, case management, skills training, medication management, and groups. The services provided are based on the client's individual needs and treatment plan.
Where You Fit In:
The Clinician ensures access to needed services which includes individual and group counseling to empower the client in their recovery. In collaboration with the Medical Director, nursing, and treatment team, the Clinician formulates, develops, and revises treatment plans, BPSA's, ANSA assessments, and other necessary client assessments.
What to Expect:
Clinician visits are completed through telehealth (virtual) or in person at the clinic, located at 3171 N. Meridian. Clinicians work 8:00 am - 4:30 pm; Monday through Friday, except for the one late shift required per week (flexible on the day). Clinic hours are Monday and Wednesday 8am-6pm, Tuesday and Thursday 8am-8pm, and Friday 8am-4:30 pm.
Am I Qualified
• Master's degree in Human Services field • Master's degree in Human Services field with a minimal of temporary license with active plan to earn full licensure (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT) within three (3) years. • Candidates must have submitted a plan to obtain licensure at the soonest date possible within a maximum allowed of three years • Valid Indiana driver's license that meets Eskenazi Health's driving policy requirements

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Provides crisis intervention and support services
Conducts crisis mental health and substance abuse screenings for consumers
Evaluates psychosocial status and needs for the development of an appropriate treatment/crisis plan
Provides daily living skills education when appropriate
Serves as a referral source for consumers, working cooperatively with community resources/agencies
Maintains appropriate documentation for all crisis and case management services, including but not limited to, social, psychiatric and medical histories and presenting problems with complete mental status exam
Provides psychiatric consultation to Eskenazi Health Emergency Room and Medical/Surgical Unit of Eskenazi Health
Conducts screening for suicide and homicide risk
Screens for acute care services, including Inpatient, Subacute Stabilization and Day Treatment
Determines level of care for consumers
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to implement community and strengths-based treatment interventions
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to be both clear and concise in written and verbal communications
Solid knowledge of psychiatric and addiction diagnoses and understanding of their impact on behavior and all life domains
Solid knowledge of psychotropic medications; their uses and side effects
Use of discretion and independent decision-making regarding client safety and care
Willingness and ability to carry out directives from other team members; ability to teach and mentor others
Ability to use communication skills appropriate to the age of the client
Ability to interpret and apply complex directives, information, and regulations
Crisis intervention skills
Demonstrated leadership and team building ability
All individuals working for the Opioid Treatment Program must have experience and training to safely manage therapeutic services to patients and to provide therapeutic services to patients receiving Opioid treatment medication
Must meet the following basic competencies as applicable: Mental Status Exam, Medications, Legal, CPI, HAP Registration, CPR, Annual Education, Addictions, Age-Related, ANSA (Adult Staff Only), CANS (Children Staff Only), Revenue Cycle Sessions I & II
