Job Description:

The Night Shift Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the department, which includes motivating employees to create a quality product in a teamwork environment. The Night Shift Manager should run an effective and efficient shift.

How will you play an integral role?

• Manage by example; demonstrate leadership and integrity to staff; provide regular and effective performance feedback and opportunities for development; encourage a work environment of fairness, open communication, and teamwork.


• Ability to interview and choose the best-fit applicant for job openings.


• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards.


• Monitor quality issues and labor costs within the area of responsibility and communicate these issues to the appropriate manager.


• Ensure employees have adequate supplies and operating equipment.


• Complete all written communications in a timely manner, (PAF’s, merit increases, job performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, etc.)


• Stop and start departmental operations as required.

Are you qualified for the position? 

• Education: High School diploma /GED required


• Experience: Manufacturing experience required
  
  
  
  • Experience running a manufacturing shift or department
  
  
  • Employee relations and work assignments
  
  
  • Managing department budgets and cost management
  
  
  
  


• Skills/Competencies: Good written and verbal skills
  
  
  
  • Proficient with MS Office applications
  
  
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes
  
  
  • Ability multi-tasking and flexibility to adapt to changing situations
  
  
  • Ability to forecast employee needs
