Growing Clearwater CPA firm seeking an experienced Tax Accountant that will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and advising on tax-related matters for clients. Responsibilities will include:
Tax Preparation: Preparing and filing federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations. This includes gathering necessary financial information, completing tax forms, and ensuring timely submission.
Tax Planning: Providing strategic advice to clients to minimize their tax liabilities. This involves analyzing financial situations, identifying tax-saving opportunities, and planning for future tax obligations.
Tax Compliance: Ensuring clients comply with tax laws and regulations. This includes staying up-to-date with changes in tax codes, advising clients on compliance issues, and preparing necessary documentation.
Audit Support: Assisting clients during tax audits by preparing documentation, representing them before tax authorities, and helping to resolve any issues that arise.
Financial Analysis: Analyzing clients' financial statements and records to ensure accuracy and completeness for tax reporting purposes.
Tax Research: Conducting research on complex tax issues and staying informed about changes in tax legislation that may affect clients.
Client Consultation: Meeting with clients to discuss their financial situation, explain tax implications, and provide tailored advice on tax-related matters.
Tax Dispute Resolution: Assisting clients in resolving disputes with tax authorities, including negotiating settlements and representing clients in appeals.
Estate and Trust Taxation: Advising on tax implications for estates and trusts, preparing necessary tax filings, and assisting with estate planning.
Specialized Tax Services: Providing expertise in specialized areas of taxation, such as corporate tax, sales and use tax, property tax, and payroll tax.
