Job Description:

SUMMARY


This position plays a key role in achieving the Companies aggressive growth strategy by developing, growing, and sustaining business associated with assigned accounts at acceptable margins. The account manager ensures the company is professionally and responsibly represented within assigned accounts as well as in the industry, identifies market trends, and develops strategies to capitalize on opportunities associated with assigned accounts. The account manager is the subject matter expert for anything related to their assigned accounts for both internal and external customers. This position will support maintaining existing business within assigned accounts, maximizing profit, and developing new business opportunities. This position will support accounts related to the IFECI (Inflight Entertainment, Connectivity, and Aircraft Interior) Market.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS


* Manage and develop assigned accounts revenue. Manage and ensure customer satisfaction. Review, investigate, qualify, and develop sales opportunities for the Company through appropriate proposition and ethical sales methods. Develop strategy, tactics, sales plans, and profit targets.
* Raise the company profile, increase turnover, and expand product range sales within assigned accounts. Build market position and increase market share by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing sales opportunities.
* Achieve or exceed the annual budgeted or minimum Year-Over-Year growth goal for assigned accounts.
* Provide updates to the team and leadership on the key account(s) and opportunities including, but not limited to changes in business performance within the industry, acquisitions, program wins, changes in leadership within engineering, supply chain, management, and long-term growth strategy. Develop and implement strategies and actions to close sales funnel opportunities.
* Provide strategic account review by creating and executing an account roadmap strategy and a long-term account penetration plan.
* Analyze sales and financial data and prepare reports, statements, and projections for reporting to Company leadership (Monthly and annually).
* Create and execute product placement and product expansion strategy. Work with product management to specify customer and market requirements for new and existing products.
* Develop strong relationships with all levels in the customer's organization, including within purchasing and engineering. Develop strong relationships with assigned accounts and be a representative for the Company within the assigned account.
* Travel as needed to present and market the Company and its products and services to assigned accounts.
* Identify market trends through research and related events, publications, and announcements. Track individual customers and contributors and their accomplishments. Similarly, develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of competition and competitive products and maintain analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses.
* Analyze these market trends and customer needs to identify potential company resources, and coordinate sales efforts with product and technical experts to respond effectively.
* Attend industry meetings, conferences, trade shows, online seminars, plus other events, and perform product demonstrations at these where and when appropriate.
* Work closely with the customer experience team to ensure they are kept up to date with all relevant details on the accounts they manage, thus ensuring high-quality service.
* Provide technical support to internal and external customers.

SALARY INFORMATION


In compliance with multiple state's wage transparency laws, the annual salary for this position will be $110,000 - $130,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Carlisle Interconnect Technology reviews factors such as but not limited to responsibilities of the position, scope of work, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal pay equity, as well as market considerations when extending an offer.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


* Three (3) years direct experience in an account management/sales role, including all aspects of sales development and execution, preferably with the Aerospace industry.
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related degree or five (5) years of relevant experience preferred.
* A technical background in electrical/mechanical engineering, antenna systems, and/or aircraft modification is beneficial.
* History working with IFE OEMs and airlines, particularly in an engineering or IFE sales capacity, is advantageous.


LANGUAGE SKILLS


* Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
* Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
* Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.


JOB SKILLS


* Experience utilizing CRM Systems (Salesforce or similar).
* Experience with SAP preferred.
* Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
* Ability to understand and work with financial reports and data (e.g., P&L Statements, Cost Workups, Pricing, Gross Margin, and other product analysis metrics).
* Ability to convey information in written, visual (PowerPoint, tables, diagrams, etc.), and spoken form. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, contracts, NDAs, and regulatory documents.
* Self-motivated and aggressive in the pursuit of developing the product line and target market to achieve sales growth.
* Ability to function effectively in a very busy environment and willing to work hours that are outside the norm including travel.
* Must have exceptional work ethic, and the ability to manage and maximize time and company resources (e.g., sales, engineering, capital, etc.)
* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
* Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and high-level financial proposals.
* Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to build relationships externally with customers, suppliers, partners, and internal employees at all functions and levels of organization.
* Strong positive leadership skills.
* Ability to collect data and construct portfolio analysis models analytics and reports.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS


While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to be stationary for prolonged periods working on a computer. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.


WORK ENVIRONMENT


The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Approximately fifty percent of the work is performed in a normal office environment with minimal physical risks involved. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate. The other time is spent traveling by personal vehicle to close sales through face-to-face interaction with customers based within assigned sales territories in their offices, restaurants, industry events, trade shows, etc


PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS


* ASTM F-2412-2005, ANSI Z41-1999, or ANSI Z41-1991 rated safety toe shoes in specific areas.
* Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety-rated glasses in specific areas.
* Hearing protection, in specific locations.
* Ability to compile with JSA in specific areas.
