Job Summary

Medline Industries, LP is seeking a talented individual experienced in building and supporting complex applications in a techno-functional capacity. The System Analyst Lead will be responsible for business process optimization, IT system design, development, and support of Sales Compensation management systems. You need to be able to work with complex business processes and handle bulk data processing problems. This program includes many facets from data management and integration to Sales Compensation territory/quota management and various incentive calculations. Demonstrate the technical skills needed, creative problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills necessary to drive changes. Acts as a mentor to other team members and oversee effective software delivery processes. This is a great opportunity to work with a fast-paced team that thrives on agile practices.

Job Description

Responsibilities:


  • Serve as the conduit between the business partners and the IT team. Lead ceremonies like requirement gathering and UAT sessions with business partners.

  • Responsible for the identification of and resolution of gaps in the business processes and proposed changes.

  • Work with team members and other IT teams to build, refine, test, secure, and debug features as needed.

  • Gain expertise over time and serve as a functional expert with the business in sales compensation areas.

  • Author and maintain system and process documentation (such as Jira stories, process workflow diagrams, etc.).

  • Author and maintain system test cases to ensure the reliability and robustness of the applications.

  • Participate in analyzing production issues, performing root cause analysis, and helping determine the necessary course of action for resolution.

  • Respond to any system anomalies like performance or vulnerability alerts and partner with respective teams to remediate them.

  • Assist in application infrastructure setup and maintenance tasks.

  • Collaborate with infrastructure and application development teams to design an effective system monitoring & alerting plan.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development practices.

  • Work productively with all levels of Medline employees.

  • Share your expertise and knowledge with team members, helping them grow and develop their skills.

Required Experience:

Education

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. Or equivalent work experience with desired systems and technologies.

Work Experience


  • At least 10 + years of experience in data, business, and/or systems analyst roles.

  • At least 4+ years of experience with structured querying language (SQL) and relational database schemas.

  • Strong analytical skills to understand business goals, complex processes, and design appropriate solutions.

  • Experience leading other IT team members to deliver required objectives

  • Experience diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.

  • Experience communicating technical information to non-technical audiences.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced agile / scrum methodology.

  • Excellent time management skills. Experience in prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.

  • Experience in accomplishing goals with little or no supervision and determining when escalation of issues is necessary.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication. Able to articulate technical information in the language of the audience (business leaders vs technical personnel).
