Summary:

The Buyer purchases and negotiates contracts for medical supplies, office supplies, and various equipment. Has continual oversight to ensure goods are purchased at reasonable prices and adequate inventory levels are maintained. Negotiate contracts for medical supplies, food, clothing and linens, office supplies, and sometimes even transportation equipment, Compile information and records to draw up purchase orders for procurement of materials and services.

Education: High school diploma or GED required. Associates preferred

Licenses/Certification: N/A

Experience: A minimum of 1 year experience as a buyer or purchasing agent. Good computer skills. Experience using spreadsheets, accounting and purchasing software. Good negotiation and math skills a must.
