Job Description:

The Sr. Engineer - Strat Int Sys plans and studies operations, technologies, systems, concepts, facilities and equipment layouts including the definition of problems/inefficiencies, their scope and recommends alternatives and solutions.

Essential Functions

• Assists in the education of users and system developers regarding new technologies and their potential application.


• Assists in the investigation of new technologies developments.


• Develops alternative solutions and applies financial/risk analysis to formulate recommendations for service, enhancements, facility or equipment improvements, etc.


• Applies advanced concepts, theories, principles and methods to define functional specifications and conceptually design systems.


• Schedules multiple project assignments and provides performance reporting to ensure deadlines and project objectives are met.


• Applies computer-related techniques including modeling, optimization and simulation in the development of systems.


• Communicates effectively with all levels of management utilizing oral presentations and formal written reports.


• Develops solutions involving unstructured environments that permit the standardization of methods, procedures, equipment and facilities.


• Assists in coordinating multi-departmental involvement to ensure the completion of major projects.


• Performs project work that meets company and department objectives involving the improvement of operations, facilities and the work environment.


• Design modifications and enhancements of prototypes to ensure successful transition from prototypes to operational systems.


• Coordinates prototype system designs, hardware and software development, test procedures development, testing and evaluation, documentation, and user prototype training.


• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Education

Bachelors degree in engineering.

Minimum Experience

Four (4) years professional experience in research and development, applying mini and micro computer technology and other tools to engineering and business problems. Broad technological background.
