Edelman is looking for a self-motivated, earned-centric, and talented communications professional to join our Corporate Reputation team as an Account Supervisor. We help our clients communicate their most pressing business challenges to a wide stakeholder set, ultimately expanding and improving their corporate reputation. While we help clients with the day-to-day, we also look around corners to help future-proof their businesses.

The ideal candidate will be a skilled account manager and client counselor with a broad set of skills and abilities in corporate communications, including hands-on experience in earned media, message development, and content development and amplification. We're seeking candidates with diverse backgrounds and skill sets to push our thinking, share fresh, innovative ideas, and elevate the quality of counsel we deliver for our clients.

This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with talented corporate storytellers and integrated teams across Edelman's global network. You'll be joining a group of dedicated professionals who equally enjoy being on the forefront of business challenges and driving client results as much as they do working with each other.

Responsibilities:


    • An Account Supervisor is responsible for helping to set strategy, driving work forward with clients and supervising staff by mentoring, motivating, and coaching. Managing projects for multiple clients from concept to completion by anticipating challenges, troubleshooting problems, proposing solutions, offering client counsel, overseeing quality and ensuring deadline and budget adherence. Driving media relations including creating and driving outreach plans, media strategy and message development. Excellent storytelling skills, and ability to provide level-appropriate media counsel with all levels of client contacts.

    • Expected competencies include:


Client Management:


    • Plays key role in developing key messages in keeping with clients' objectives

    • Application of key client information, including general business strategy, industry trends and issues, products/services, key opinion leaders, customers and competitors

    • Demonstrates the ability to write, edit and proofread to create high quality internal and external, channel-appropriate communications content

    • Serves as daily client contact and as client lead on specific workstreams

Media Relations:


    • Successfully pitch client stories and manage media relationships, supporting a team in researching media and target audiences, analyzing online conversations, and driving ongoing proactive news bureau activities

    • Develop messaging, and write press materials, social media content, direct communications materials and other documents, including briefing books and FAQs

    • Build relationships with third-party influencers and internal business partners to meet client needs

Basic Qualifications:


    • At least 4 years of relevant experience in Communications Marketing and/or related fields

    • A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications:


    • Solutions-oriented mindset

    • Experience in financial services or related industry

    • Relevant experience in corporate communications and/or related fields, including media, marketing, management consulting

    • Have relationships with business, national, local news media

    • Proven ability to lead and manage multiple small or medium-sized projects simultaneously

    • Demonstrated ability to help develop communication programming and plans, implement integrated tactics and impart knowledge to junior account team members

    • Able to perform well under pressure and be a team player

$67,000 - $94,000 a year

An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
