Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client located in Marlborough, MA is seeking to hire a Senior Embedded Software Engineer (Linux, Networking) to play a key role in the development of embedded systems software for innovative communications products. The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will design and develop high performance network software and apply solid software engineering best practices needed to build world-class products in a collaborative environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

• B.S. degree in Computer Science, similar technical discipline or equivalent practical experience; M.S degree in Computer Science or similar technical discipline or equivalent practical experience preferred


• 5+ years of related embedded software development experience


• 1+ years of experience with data plane software


• Proficient in C/C++ and Python


• Strong knowledge of Linux OS and Linux kernel modules


• Strong knowledge of computer network programming and network protocols such as TCPIP


• Strong communication and collaboration skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
