Job Description
Job Summary: The Eurofins BPT Glassware team is seeking a Group Leader to oversee the technical and personnel aspects of group operations. This individual will act as a technical resource, trainer, and troubleshooter to the glassware team, making recommendations for operational and/or technical improvements and communicating effectively with the group. Additionally, the Group Leader will coach and develop direct reports, plan and monitor workflows, and monitor data for and utilize departmental metrics.
Job Duties:
Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
Applies the highest quality standard in all areas of responsibility
Consumable cost management
Glassware flow management
Monitor and develop continuous improvement and automation opportunities
Hands-on management and willingness to step in and assist teams where needed
Ensure that the quality policy program is understood, implemented, and maintained at all levels of the organization; identify, prevent, or correct any departures from the quality system.
Coach, train, and develop others within the group with respect to their personal development and effective implementation of operational improvements
Lead and write investigations independently, establish root cause and robust CAPA.
Coordinate workflow and perform daily monitoring to meet TAT
Conduct semiannual performance reviews, interview applicants, keep training records up to date for assigned employees, perform succession planning in preparation for growth
Perform and/or assign other duties as requested to ensure smooth operation of department
Qualifications
The Ideal Candidate Would Possess:
Two or more years experience supporting/driving Lean initiatives.
Two or more years experience with laboratory/manufacturing automation.
Two or more years of experience in a GMP environment.
Four or more years of laboratory experience.
Previous leadership experience
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or a combination of college, Lean experience, automation experience, GMP experience, and laboratory experience that totals at least six years.
Additional Information
Position is full-time, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm, with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lancaster, PA are encouraged to apply.
