Job Summary:
The Painter I sprays the surfaces of machines, manufactured products or working area with protective or decorative material.
Starting Pay: $21.30/Hour. Pay can be adjusted with experience.
1st Shift Hours: 7am-5pm Monday through Friday with potential for overtime including weekends as business demands.
What you will do:
- At SPM Oil & Gas, our primary objective is to provide our customers with excellent engineering solutions through our products and superior customer service
- Responsible for the preparation of product for painting
- Preparation of paint supplies for the applicable product
- Completes daily production logs to meet environmental and safety standards
- Performs daily preventative maintenance of work area
- Maintain routine housekeeping to eliminate workplace hazards
- Paint parts per work instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, blueprints, Risk Assessment and job routers
- Works with Material Coordinator on inventory levels to ensure production levels are maintained
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Minimum of three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to pass a fit test to ensure painting mask will fit properly and eliminate any potential safety hazards
- Due to the requirement to wear a painting mask, employees must have limited facial hair
- 40-hour work week with potential for overtime

- Required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department
- Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles
- Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions
- Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration
- Noise Level: Moderate
