Financial Accounting Analyst role responsible for month-end close activities, financial statement analytics and other corporate accounting matters, as well as involvement with special projects and process improvement initiatives.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform corporate accounting duties related to month-end close to ensure financial statements are accurate in support of internal and external reporting
Prepare monthly journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation
Prepare monthly account reconciliations and ensure account balances are properly stated
Assist with analyzing consolidated financial statements and provide variance explanations
Assist with preparation and analysis of separate partnership financial statements
Maintain desk procedures and SOX documentation for assigned areas
Assist with research on various accounting topics, as requested
Manage communication of accounting issues and resolution to impacted groups
Respond timely and accurately to inquiries from auditors
Work collaboratively and often cross-functionally on various special projects and other ad hoc requests
Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Minimum of 3 years of corporate accounting experience or a combination of public accounting and financial accounting experience
Solid knowledge of GAAP
Strong analytical skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication with ability to adjust style depending on audience
Strong self-management and organizational skills; ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt as business needs and priorities change
Intermediate proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Regular and reliable attendance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
CPA or CPA eligible
Oracle and OneStream experience
Experience with financial statement preparation or review
