Overview

American Foods Group, LLC has an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist at our America's Heartland Packing facility in Wright City, Missouri.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring documentation and approvals are matched to invoices and reconciling any differences.


• Select accurate general ledger account numbers for each invoice along with monitoring due dates.


• Maintain and Reconcile various A/P spreadsheets for importing invoices into A/P system.


• Enter invoices into A/P system.


• Prepare and mail proper documentation as needed.


• Organize and maintain A/P files and documentation.


• Work with accounting team to set up new vendors.


• Reconcile accounts payable transactions.


• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.


• Generate reports as needed.


• Assist with month end / year end closing.


• Provide supporting documentation for audits.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

• Must be 18 years of age or older.


• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.


• Diploma/GED.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Prior accounts payable experience.


• Basic PC skills; experience with Infor, Ephesoft or other A/P packages is helpful.


• Good attention to detail.


• Must be able to perform job duties with minimal direction.


• Good work and attendance record.


• Sales and use tax knowledge beneficial.
