GRANTS COORDINATOR

Richmond, Virginia

The Virginia Tourism Corporation (VTC) is seeking an experienced Grants Coordinator to assist with the VTC grant application processes and reimbursements. VTC offers several funding programs to the travel industry partners in Virginia. The successful candidate for this position will assist with the administration of these programs.

Responsibilities:

• Document management, data entry, and reporting in designated software or system
• Assist with submission of grant applications via grant portals
• Process applications in preparation for grant review and implementation
• Compile reimbursement packages for review by the Grants Specialist
• Maintain grant files and assure grant applicant deadlines are monitored
• Assist tourism partners by attending and presenting at workshops and conferences
• General administrative support
• Some in-state regional travel

Skills:

• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Experience with prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment
• Basic knowledge of business and grants management
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

 

Education:

• Associates degree or equivalent experience in business, public administration, grant management, hospitality marketing, or related field preferred
