Domtar has an opening for an Administrative Assistant at our Converting and Distribution Center in Washington Court House, Ohio.

This position is non-exempt; overtime eligible.


The Administrative Assistant must perform a wide variety of clerical and administrative processes and procedures. You will be responsible to fluently maintain tasks during day-to-day operations and work as a liaison with the plant manager. These tasks will range from general office duties to complex administrative coordination.



These duties are included in the list below, but are not limited to:





  • Provide a high level of customer service.

  • Support the management team in areas of Daily Production, HR, and Accounts Payable with a variety of tasks, reporting, month end activities, etc.

  • Proficient in system applications, using word processing and presentation software to create and edit.

  • Data entry and producing reports efficiently and or documents timely.

  • Answering a multi-line phone and direct callers to appropriate personnel timely.

  • Welcome and direct visitors, guests, and vendors.

  • Develop and maintain physical and digital filing systems.

  • Receive, sort, and distribute mail and/or deliveries.

  • Maintain and order office supplies.

  • Maintenance of office equipment or other identified business needs.

  • Prepare meeting agendas, scheduling of meetings, or appointments; virtual or in-person; maintain meeting minutes.

  • Respond promptly to email correspondences.

  • Planning and coordination of special events and or travel arrangements.

  • Provides support to colleagues and anticipate needs.

  • Fill in for one, other salaried position, as needed.

  • Presents a positive and professional image for the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:



High School diploma or equivalent, associate's degree a plus.


2-5 years past administrative experience or tenure in an office setting a plus.


  • Advanced proficiency in all management systems and procedures such as Email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, Virtual Meetings and Conference Tools.

  • Proficient in data base management.

  • Willingness & ability to be agile.

  • Ability to think and respond analytically.

Those meeting minimum requirements will be scheduled for a test and board interview.
