Job Description:

Job Summary


The Accountant classifies, records and reviews data to keep financial records complete. The Accountant provides consolidation, accounting, and analytical support for Carlisle Construction Materials; assists with month-end financial statements, analysis, account reconciliations, payroll and benefits accounting, intercompany accounting, and quarterly reporting requirements.


Duties and Responsibilities:


* Responsible for driving efficiency related to all aspects of intercompany & payroll accounting:


* Communication and alignment with HR/payroll team, Carlisle Corporate, and Intercompany partnerships across the organization
* Implement intercompany and payroll accounting policies for new acquisitions
* Entire process from recording financial transaction for intercompany and payroll accounting requirements into financial accounting analysis
* Reconciliations of intercompany and payroll/benefit general ledger accounts
* Implement process improvements to enhance, streamline & optimize processes
* Monthly journal entry preparation and posting
* Analyze month-end financial statements and provide variance analysis to key stakeholders
* Complete monthly and quarterly account reconciliations assuring documentation supports balance
* Preparation of Electronic Audit Evidence (EAE) documentation for compliance
* Preparation of support for internal and external audits


Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:


* Essential Full Performance Knowledge:


* General Accepted Accounting Principles
* Financial statement preparation and analysis
* Awareness of Sarbanes-Oxley Act and internal control requirements
* Essential Full Performance Skills:


* Excellent knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office programs
* Communication skills (verbal and written)
* Ability to organize work to meet deadlines
* Ability to work with accounting software (SAP)
* Analytical skills

* Ability to choose the right methods or formulas for problem solving


Education and Experience:


* Required:


* Bachelors Degree in Accounting
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in public/private accounting


Working Conditions:


* Individual will operate primarily in an office setting, with a hybrid flexibility to work from a home part of the week


* Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.
