The Tax Accounting Intern will report to the Senior Tax Analyst. The preferred candidate will be a sophomore or junior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting with a concentration in tax. The internship is a minimum of 10 hours per week to be scheduled around your classes in the fall and spring semesters, with more hours available during class breaks (e.g., winter/summer).
What you will do and achieve:
Assist the Tax team with the following:
Preparing journal entries for tax accounts;
Preparing account reconciliations for tax accounts;
Preparing account analysis;
Prepare schedules and provide information to support sales tax, property tax and income tax returns;
Prepare schedules and provide information to support tax audits;
Assist with documenting procedures.
Perform ad hoc projects and analysis;
Ensure compliance with internal controls.
