Where You'll Work

As an intern at The Cigna Group, you're able to make a real impact, while growing and learning more about your profession of choice. Supporting the Early Career (EC) Talent department, the recruiting intern will work closely with Early Career Recruitment team to positively impact The Cigna Group's recruitment strategies, employment brand and overall outcomes.

During your internship experience, you will have the opportunity to collaborate within your department and across the business while learning from some of our brightest and most innovative employees in your area of focus.

  • Schedule: You must be available to work 40 hours per week from the end of May through August 2025.

What You'll Do


  • Support Early Careers leadership by leading The Cigna Group's campus event strategy.

  • Event registrations - Collaborate with Early Career recruiters and campus teams to identify and register our teams for on-campus and virtual engagement opportunities

  • Event promotions - Utilize The Cigna Group's tools and technologies to market our on-campus and virtual events

  • Event confirmations & communication - Act as the point of contact for all stakeholders

  • Event tracking - Ensure all resources are identified and deployed as necessary

  • Event tracking - Regularly audit event tracker for updates

  • Suggest process improvements for operational responsibilities for ongoing practice

  • Facilitate weekly meetings with Early Careers recruiters to review event details and partner to ensure all events are proactively managed.

  • Research and analyze industry/market trends for collegiate talent, competitor insights, and overall approach to campus recruiting across partner universities.

  • Provide insight into current campus trends to aid in the development of the Early Careers campus strategy.

  • Provide communications, updates and status reports to Early Careers Team, Talent Acquisition leadership and other stakeholders.

  • Perform other administrative duties and recruiting tasks, as necessary.

Qualifications


  • Junior or senior-level college students majoring in Human Resources, Communications, Event Management, Marketing, or related field preferred.

  • Demonstrated interest in talent acquisition, human resources, or related field.

  • Persistent, positive, collaborative attitude toward following up, tracking progress and successfully working through challenges.

  • Strong project management, organization & analytical skills, along with solid written & verbal communication.

  • Easily cultivate and maintain strong relationships with a variety of internal & external stakeholders

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and resourceful in achieving success in the face of ambiguity while prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, and Power Point), along with ability to quickly learn & use critical recruiting technologies (e.g. Workday, Phenom, Handshake, Simplicity)

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
