Domain skill set:

Energy & Commodity Trading (Gas, Power, LNG, Oil & emission) - ETRM; ideally Endur
Life of a Deal (LOAD)
Compliance & Regulation
Credit and Risk
Finance
Operations
Front Office Market Analysis (forecasting, modelling)
Trading Data & Analytics processes

Architecture and Engineering skill set:

At least 10 years' experience in Architectural Roles, 5 years leading portfolios.
Confidently lead and be the focal point for all architecture decisions for a large ETRM delivery
program, with divergent opinions from strong personalities and stakeholders.
Able to create a collaborative environment where all technical (architecture and engineering)
roles can work together to drive clear decisions and consistency.
Lead the engineering community to make sure we follow the company Engineer Management
Standards, and have consistency and reuse at the core of our outcomes.
ETRM scope. Must be able to clearly articulate what processes with the life of a deal should be
inside the core ETRM and which processes should be externally run
Directing workload of other architects on portfolio, partitioning workloads, and assigning areas of
accountability.
Recruiting talent and supporting the creation of high performing team
TOGAF (or similar framework) experience alongside Enterprise Architecture tooling. Ideally
ArchiMate - Bizz design tool
Being able to address the: Business Process, Data, Application, Technical and Information Security
aspects of an IT Solution and to document that in a High Level Design document.
o Coordinate and develop this information alongside all third-parties (Data Architects, IRM,
IDSO, ET SOM, Business stakeholders), internal and external to company

Technical skill and Mastery with combination of the following:

Experience with the entire Trading system landscape and capabilities around Life of a Deal.
Experience architecting and designing ETRM services and capabilities, ideally within Endur.
Hands-on demonstrable experience in architecting applications into Azure platform, ideally
including migrations/re platforming of legacy.
Hands-on architecting experience in building Microservices, Cloud Native applications, federated
Data platforms (Data Mesh)

Desirable Skills: - intermediate to advance exposure to below skills.
o Azure Active Directory, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Storage, Azure Functions,
Azure Kubernetes Service, CosmosDB, Azure SQL Data Warehouse
o Integration: Confluent/Kafka, API Management, Logic Apps
o Other Technologies/Platforms: - DataBricks, SAP HANA, Salesforce, API management,
Multifactor authentication, Collibra, Purview

o Programming/Scripting Languages: C#, JavaScript, Python, Go Lang, T-SQL

Responsibilities Include:
1. Provide solution architecture development, consultancy, and assurance to projects, making sure
applications are well designed and conform to company standards and reference architectures.
2. The Lead Architect & Engineer for Aspire is accountable to the Aspire program for delivery of the
high level design, low level design and key design decisions needed. This includes:
a. Being the focal point for all architecture aspects of the program.
b. Being able to address and integrate the: Business Process, Data, Application, Technical
and Information Security aspects of an IT Solution.
c. Ensure the program solution architecture is documented using the templates, System
Architect tooling and conforms to company standards.
d. Key member of the peer-review for accepting the detailed design of the program IT
solution.
3. Stay connected to both the architecture and engineering standards at company. Ensuring we are
compliant and deliver secure systems.
4. Pro-actively contribute to the development of the Architecture community and be an ambassador
