We presently have an opening for a Machine Operator. This is a third shift role with work hours from 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. the following morning Sunday night through Thursday night. Some overtime maybe necessary in this position.
Responsibilities
KEY TASKS
• Sets up and operates metal fabricating machines to cut and form metal shapes according to blueprints and specifications: Reads and interprets blueprints, engineering specifications, and shop orders to determine machine setup, production methods, and sequence of operation.
• Positions and clamps stop, guides, and turntables. Adjusts controls to set and regulate machining factors.
• Positions work against stops and guides or align layout marks with dies or cutting blades manually.
• Starts machine and observes machine operation to reposition or adjust machine settings for multiple or successive passes.
• Inspects or measures work, using rule, gauges, and templates.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS AND EDUCATION
• High School diploma, G.E.D. and 1 to 3 years manufacturing experience.
