Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: Support all MedTrans branches and all vehicle maintenance related issues.  This includes heavy power equipment (tractors, trailers, and straight trucks), onboard computing systems, and cargo handling equipment.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Support the current MedTrans Fleet Services Manager in all tasks and projects.

- Assist all MedTrans branch locations with any and all maintenance related items. - Review, audit, and approve outside maintenance work orders and invoices.

- Branch visits including equipment audits, safety compliance, and driver ride alongs.

- Initiate and implement projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating cost.

- Audit current MedTrans vendors, including best practices insuring all MedTrans equipment is being properly maintained.

Education:

- Technical degree in related field

Relevant Work Experience:

- 5 years’ experience in the medium/heavy duty fleet or transportation field

Certification / Licensure

- Medium/Heavy technical training certifications

Additional:

- Current and valid driver’s license

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Diesel technical school degree or Bachelor’s degree 

- Air brake, engine diagnostic, ASE certifications

- Volvo experience a plus

- 5 to 7 years’ experience in related field

- Commercial Driver’s License Class A or B

- Strong leadership and management skills required. Requires excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively negotiate and influence others.

-Excellent organizations and planning skills

- Computer skills and proficiency, specifically Power Point, Excel, and Word are required

- Travel up to 50% or as needed

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$85,280.00 - $123,760.00 Annual

This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
