10+ years of experience in aircraft maintenance or modification, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous leadership experience in aircraft maintenance or management is preferred.
Skilled in using inspection tools, test equipment, and techniques to assess airworthiness.
Capable of providing training, guidance, and support to production teams across various skill sets.
Excellent organizational skills and proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and industry-specific software.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Flexibility to work extended hours as needed.

Responsibilities:
Execute strategic objectives while continuously seeking ways to enhance operational efficiency and business performance.
Ensure all maintenance and modification tasks comply with the Repair Station Manual, relevant regulations, departmental and company procedures, timelines, and budget limitations.
Act as the department lead, coordinating activities with internal management, customers, suppliers, and vendors.
Oversee workforce allocation, productivity, and efficiency; manage and forecast manpower requirements, and utilize the Hangar Labor Dashboard effectively.
Handle the department's procurement processes, including purchase orders and parts requests, ensuring all necessary resources, materials, and tools are available ahead of schedule.
Exhibit expert knowledge of process standards, engineering data, aircraft manuals, and component catalogs; train team members to use these data sets effectively.
Set clear performance targets and expectations; monitor team performance and conduct performance evaluations.
Support workforce development by ensuring timely completion of training requirements and enhancing training programs to improve skills.
Communicate, promote, and enforce company policies and best practices.
Recommend and execute personnel actions such as hiring, promotions, transfers, terminations, or disciplinary measures.
Provide both technical and non-technical support, coaching, and leadership to the team.
Conduct regular meetings to share departmental, production, and company goals and updates.
Prepare for vendor and regulatory audits by maintaining a culture of compliance; manage non-conformances with immediate containment, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Establish and maintain a safe work environment that aligns with regulatory, professional, and company standards.
Ensure all safety procedures are followed, coordinating any extraordinary safety measures with the appropriate personnel.
Plan, prepare, and achieve departmental budget goals.
Analyze performance data to measure productivity and prepare reports for review.
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert during the bidding and proposal phases, providing input on maintenance and modification projects; develop bid data based on historical costs and requirements.
Manage administrative responsibilities such as attendance tracking, performance reviews, and incident reporting.
Maintain accurate time records and verify reporting by subordinates.
Complete required initial and ongoing training within the established time frames.
