The Manufacturing Manager is a key leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency in our manufacturing processes. This position involves leading a diverse team, managing performance metrics, and aligning operations with strategic business objectives. The Manufacturing Manager will work closely with the site leadership team to develop and execute strategies that enhance productivity and meet customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations to achieve goals related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Ensure all processes reflect customer requirements, integrating their needs into daily operations.
Team Leadership and Development:
Provide guidance and motivation to both direct and indirect reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Support career development, manage performance, and optimize resource allocation to meet production targets.
Safety and Compliance:
Maintain a safe work environment and ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies.
Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement and comply with ISO standards and regulatory requirements.
Continuous Improvement:
Conduct fact-based analyses using Lean techniques to identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements.
Monitor and review Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), address performance gaps, and implement corrective actions.
Strategic Alignment:
Collaborate with the site leadership team on strategic planning and ensure operational activities align with the site's strategic plan and budgetary goals.
Skills and Qualifications:
Leadership: Proven ability to inspire, engage, and develop teams while driving performance and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Analytical Skills: Strong capability to analyze operational data and KPIs, making data-driven decisions to enhance performance.
Communication: Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with all organizational levels and external stakeholders.
Compliance Knowledge: Solid understanding of health, safety, quality, and environmental standards, with a track record of maintaining compliance.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field, preferred.
5+ years of experience in a technical production management role.
Expertise in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Microsoft Office and Outlook proficiency.
Proven experience utilizing ERP systems.
