We have an exciting opportunity for a Community Resource Center Coordinator to join our team of talented professionals.

We have a market-based compensation structure. The estimated salary for this position will vary based on a candidate's transferable work experience and qualifications. This is a salary grade 103. Hourly rates start at $18.78.

As a Community Resource Center Coordinator, you will be responsible for maintaining the Community Resource Centers (CRC) for individuals and families in need, assisting visitors, recruiting and coordinating volunteers, planning and implementing quarterly Family Literacy Events, facilitating Parent/Child Interaction Groups, and promoting the CRC and Early Childhood Prevention activities in the community. Agency hours are Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. Some evening or weekend hours will be required in order to accommodate program needs.

Specific responsibilities include:
  1. Organize and maintain the Community Resource Centers.
  2. Welcome and assist shoppers at the Walter White CRC.
  3. Recruit and coordinate volunteers to clean, organize, and update the CRC.
  4. Plan, recruit, enroll, schedule and implement Parent/Child Interaction Groups, Family Literacy Events, and other services offered through the CRCs.
  5. Responsible for set up and clean-up of events and services.
  6. Maintain good physical mobility including the ability to move and interact with children and families.
  7. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted.
  8. Ability to move freely from a sitting, standing, kneeling, stooping, bending, lifting position 80% to 100% of each day.
  9. Link families to programs and services.
  10. Assist with developing and implementing new activities.
  11. Represent TGC's Community Resource Centers at professional and community activities which support families.
  12. Collect required data and complete appropriate documentation per agency and funder guidelines.
  13. Meet all program requirements.
  14. Complete all required agency, funder and program specific training annually.
  15. Other job-related duties as assigned.


To qualify for this position, you will need the following:
  • Child Development Associate certification with one year experience with very young children and families.
  • Associate's degree in child development, early childhood education, social work or related field and one year of work experience with young children and parents preferred*
  • Candidate should possess knowledge of child development for birth through 5 years.
  • Must possess the ability to engage and maintain relationships with families and develop collaborations in the community.
  • Must have effective interpersonal communication skills, willingness to be flexible, patient and creative.
  • Strong organizational skills mandatory.
  • Physical mobility required.
  • Additional requirements include a nonjudgmental approach that reflects cultural competency and sensitivity to the unique needs and diverse experiences of families with infants, toddlers and preschoolers, our staff members and the programs they represent.
  • A current valid driver's license with a favorable driving record is required.
