About The Role - Construction Project Superintendent

(Northern Oregon / Eastern Washington: Boardman, OR, Tri-Cities to Moses Lake, WA)

Our Seattle-based client, a recognized PNW General Contractor with a proven 30+ year history of success, stability, and growth, is adding top leadership talent to their jobsite construction teams to handle current business activity, pending / future project log, and growth in the Northern Oregon / Eastern Washington area.

They are experts in industrial and manufacturing construction (food processing, manufacturing plants, heavy industrial, distribution hubs, mission critical, data centers, aerospace, and facilities involving sensitive environmental knowledge), our client is seeking a PS with extensive niche experience and knowledge.

As our newest Project Superintendent you'll lead direct hire self perform teams as well as subcontractor field personnel. You will drive / monitor / report daily onsite activity, safety, and success. You hold primary responsibility for all project safety, scheduling, and site management from pre-construction to closeout. All General Foreman, Foreman, and the Safety Supervisor report directly to the Project Superintendent (who reports to the Project Manager).

What You'll Do:
  • Manage all daily construction work activities, meet deadlines, budgets, quality standards
  • Hold and oversee all Vendor Field Coordination Meetings
  • Update and issue all Project Schedules
  • Manage all labor relations at the site
  • Manage daily implementation of all safety plans and procedures
  • Prepare and issue all field work daily reports
  • Use effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Project progress monitoring and modification management

To Be Successful, You Should Have:
  • 5+ YEARS PREVIOUS CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ years commercial/industrial Project Superintendent experience, preferred
  • 3+ years of jobsite leadership experience with a commercial General Contractor
  • 3+ years within Manufacturing/Industrial Construction experience, highly preferred
  • 2+ years jobsite leadership of subcontractors, union, & self-perform teams, preferred
  • Experience leading self perform teams (concrete, ironworkers, carpentry), preferred
  • Possess strong skills and comprehensive knowledge of construction practices & methods
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, both on and off the job
  • Calm and rational demeanor, yet strong willed
  • Career history exhibiting steady progression of Authority, Responsibility, Accountability
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, preferred
  • Current CPR/First Aid & OSHA certifications encouraged
  • Background Checks Required
