Job Description:
COSCO Shipping (North America) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Controller to join our team in the Secaucus, NJ office.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Treasury Management - including daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly requirements
- Risk minimization management and business opportunity forecasting
- Maintain insurance coverage for all companies, manage the renewal process Administer the 401k plan with weekly, monthly and yearly duties
- Chair the 401(k) Plan Fiduciary Committee
- Review payroll input twice a month.
- Coordinate hiring function for department and track employee PTO
- Governmental reporting on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Oversee regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance with statutory laws and financial regulations
- Work closely with management or executive teams for budget review, reports and analysis
- Debt Management and collection
- Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements
- Coordinate activities of external auditors
- Develop and monitor business performance metrics
- Other activities as requested by the GM
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or Business Law.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CA (Chartered Accountants) designation preferred.
- 10 to 15 years of relevant experience.
