Purpose:
To provide guidance to YWCA Early Education Program and Community Child Care Partners in complying with the Head Start Program Performance Standards and other regulations through planning, monitoring, advising, training, and staff development.
Job Duties:
Perform scheduled monitoring assignments identifying program strengths, weaknesses and non-compliant issues concerning Family & Community Partnership, Disabilities, Mental Health, and Parent ServicesEstablish and maintain a positive working relationship with the Head Start/Early Head Start Centers, Delegate Agency, and Community Child Care Partners and work with functional units to ensure continuous quality improvementsCoordinate with necessary unit staff regularly on scheduled and periodic monitoring visits performed at Head Start /Early Head Start Centers, Delegate Centers, and Child Care Partners Centers, to determine whether procedures are being followed to meet Performance StandardsRegularly scheduled and periodic field monitoring, performing observations formal and informal, record checks, interviewing staff, reviewing checklist, and observing centers/classrooms, to ensure that mandated Family & Community Partnership, Disabilities, Mental Health, and Parent services, are provided within the required time frames. Identify any potential non-compliance areas and provide necessary follow-up to ensure that corrections are made. Prepare and submit weekly reports to unit Administrators. Prepare and submit quarterly assessment reports on each Child Care Partner and submit to Senior Unit AdministratorAssist in Self-Assessment process with Head Start/Early Head Start Centers, Child Care Partners and Delegate agency in addressing areas of concern and non-compliant issues as related to the Head Start Program Performance Standards. Provide assistance in developing plans to improve services to meet Federal, State, and Local regulations.
Formal Education/Experience:
Minimum of a bachelors degree in social services, Human Services, Early Childhood Education of similar background with experience in supervision and working with community collaborations and target population. Must have a working knowledge of computers.
