Position: Project Estimator

Location: [Hybrid; Addison, TX]

Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive project assessments, including review of project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documentation.

Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for painting and coating projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and other project requirements.

Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales, production, and project management, to gather necessary information for accurate estimations.

Analyze project risks, identify potential challenges, and provide recommendations to mitigate risks and optimize project outcomes.

Maintain project documentation and control processes, ensuring all relevant information is accurately recorded and accessible to stakeholders.

Support project managers in tracking project progress, evaluating budget performance, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.

Communicate with suppliers, subcontractors, and other external stakeholders to gather pricing information and negotiate favorable terms.

Stay updated with industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and new materials or technologies that may impact project estimations.

Provide administrative support, such as preparing reports, managing project-related correspondence, and maintaining project files.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., construction management, engineering, business administration) or equivalent experience.

Proven 3+ years experience as a project estimator or similar role, preferably in the construction, painting, or coatings industry.

Ability to mesh with exciting and highly energetic team.

Ability to visit sites to complete takes offs and site assessments.

Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in estimations and documentation.

Proficiency in project estimation software and tools, with experience in cost estimating software being a plus.

Solid understanding of construction and painting materials, techniques, and industry standards.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Proficiency in Google Drive for document management including Google sheets etc.
