Job Description:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Act as a champion of safety. Encourage all within the organization to perform safely and take immediate action as necessary to ensure the safety of all individuals within our facilities.

  • Ensure priorities of Safety, Quality, and Productivity are maintained at the forefront of all activities. 

  • Foster a team-based environment in which people are motivated to do their best work; embrace and coordinate opportunities to collaborate with others.

  • Champion initiatives such as quality improvement, continuous improvement, and safety.

  • Understand the impact of decisions in relation to production and financial metrics/site goals.

  • Serve as liaison between Manufacturing, Engineering, Materials, Estimating, and other parts of the organization as needed.

  • Communicate clearly and concisely to all levels of the organization.

  • Shares information and viewpoints openly and directly with others, both written and verbal. 

  • Develop talent in support of building high-functioning teams and in consideration of succession throughout the organization. 

  • Support individuals and teams through change.

  • Utilize data to maximize capacity such that site revenue goals are achieved.

  • Other duties as required.

  • Adhere to and abide by all ITAR-specific job standards and training.  Protect and properly safeguard ITAR-sensitive information and work product; ensure dissemination or disclosure of and access to “protected data” occurs only with those trained and approved for exposure to ITAR content.

EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:


  • Proficiency with Windows-based computer applications (i.e. MS Office applications).

  • Direct influence over capital plan to maintain plant and or operations as well as address strategic objectives for site.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS: 


  • Completion of post-secondary education, with a major in Business Administration or Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of operations management experience; manufacturing facility preferred.

  • Experience in the application of lean principles such as 5S, visual systems, standardized work, and kaizen a plus.

  • Limited travel
