We are currently seeking a motivated, articulate, and dynamic Geographic Information System (GIS) Specialist to join our team and support our engineering and natural resources projects and programs. As a GIS Specialist, you will work alongside other GIS professionals, data managers, and project managers across the company, providing valuable support on a variety of contracts and projects.

Your Role:

• Perform moderate to advanced GIS and data management tasks, including geospatial and environmental data/database management, map and figure creation, data analysis, and reporting.

• Develop and manage web-based mapping applications and set up mobile data collection systems.

• Collaborate with project managers, GIS Discipline Leads, field personnel, and internal and external clients to support environmental management and planning projects.

• Provide technical support on mapping and graphics development for various project stakeholders.

• Work effectively in a team environment to ensure project requirements are met on time and within scope.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Science, GIS/Geography, Biology, Natural Resources, Marine Science, Computer Science, or a related field.

• 3 to 5 years of experience working with ESRI's ArcGIS Pro software.

• Proficiency with ESRI's field data collection applications, such as Field Maps and Survey123.

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and cartographic map creation.

• Experience managing geospatial information in Spatial Database Engine (SDE).

• Strong oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal abilities.

• High attention to detail and ability to execute complex instructions effectively.

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen in compliance with state regulations.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Desired Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS Server, Python, ArcGIS Model Builder, and extensions such as Spatial Analyst and 3D Analyst.

• Familiarity with ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Portal, and ESRI applications including Web AppBuilder, StoryMap Builder, and Experience Builder.

• Experience managing data in relational database systems such as Microsoft Access or SQL Server.

• Working knowledge of Apple iOS and Android operating systems.

• Understanding of critical issues related to renewable energy and transmission projects.
